Turquel Villa
Turquel used to be the most important parish in the Alcobaça's coutos, specially by Vale de Ventos Farm that was an agricultura! farm depending on the Cistercian monks. Nowadays it still preserve traces of its past, such as two large stone water reservoirs that used to supply the homestead. Today, along with sports, the leather goods industry, cutlery and stone mining are the industries that stand out the most and carry the name of the region of Turquel and Benedita around the world.
